Shipping

Shipping is ONLY available to addresses in the United States.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of an item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Products

Typical lead times vary. All orders are shipped via FedEx or UPS, either ground or expedited method, per your selection during checkout.

All payments are by credit card only. We cannot accept purchase orders at this time.

Returns

Upon receiving and reviewing your order, you have 30 days to exchange or return any incorrectly ordered items. Defective parts are covered under warranty if inspected by Gatan and proven to be defective.

To be eligible for a return, each item must have all its parts and be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

All item returns are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee.

We do not offer refunds for payments made on a subscription plan. If you cancel your subscription, the cancellation will be effective at the end of the current monthly period; you will continue to have access to your subscription for the remainder of that period, but you will not receive a refund.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will contact you if there is any additional information is needed. Otherwise, your return will be refunded.

Exchanges

We will replace items if they are defective or damaged.

Process

To return your product

  1. Fill out this form to request a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.*

    * You must receive an RMA number first before returning your product. Otherwise, you are subject to a longer wait time to process your return.

  2. Ship the product back to

    Please include your RMA number on the shipping label.

  • If your items were purchased by mistake, you are liable for the cost of shipping.
  • If your items are defective or covered under warranty, Gatan will cover the cost of shipping.
  • If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
